Actions, Things, and Feelings That Make Me Smile
40 Things I Love Challenge
This is a challenge where we publish a post with 40 things we love. We are supposed to nominate others for the challenge, and then they do the same.
The idea behind this is to think about, appreciate and share the things you love. And then finally request others to do the same.
Thanks, Rita Alexandra for nominating me. While trying to come up with 40 things, I realized that at least ten to fifteen of them do not cost money or health. The only thing keeping me from doing them is laziness and a lack of awareness.
As I reached the end of the list, I promised myself to do at least three to four of them every day.
Here’s my list, as promised:
- Reading
- Writing
- Riding my motorcycle on open roads
- Waking up early and not feeling sleepy
- Taking pictures of my messy room, table, bed etc
- Coloring
- Spending time with people who understand me
- Finding a solution after struggling with a problem (mostly about software development)
- Watching movies in a theater
- Travelling (in car, bus, train, plane anything)
- Unboxing stuff (especially the one I order online)
- Buying gifts for people I love
- Singing along with my favorite songs
- Staring at the sky and the moon
- Being near a natural water body
- Laughing a lot on something not that funny
- Sleeping
- The feeling when my code works
- Collecting quotes in a notebook (now you know what I do with all the lines I highlight on Medium)
- The smell and sound of rain
- The silence of early mornings or late nights
- The stillness of summer afternoons
- The feeling after a workout session
- The smell of new books
- The sound of bamboo flute
- Gramophones
- Music
- Bollywood songs from the 60s and 70s
- Coffee (with milk and sugar)
- Green tea; the one made from loose tea leaves, not tea bags
- Thin crust pizza
- Ice-cream
- Full charged phone, laptop, kindle,… any digital device
- Analog watches and clocks
- Gaming computers and related accessories
- Notebooks, Journals, Diaries, Calendars, envelops, highlighters … everything that falls under stationery
- Sitcoms (name the one you are watching, chances are I have watched it)
- Clean, sorted, and minimal desk (but not the process of cleaning it)
- Google maps
- All sorts of gadgets
Now it’s my turn to nominate some of the people I enjoy reading and whose work on Medium has inspired me.
What do you love Yan, Dharmesh Basapati, Gloria Xiaolu Zhang, Tanvi Kant, Remington Write, Vanessa Torre, Karthik Rajan, Patrick Byron, Marta Brzosko, Mike Range?
